Allocate Software, a leading provider of healthcare workforce management software, has signed a five-year contract with one of Melbourne’s largest metropolitan public health service, Eastern Health, for the implementation of its rostering and time and attendance software.

Matt Durston, general manager, Allocate Software, said, “Eastern Health went through a rigorous procurement process. The team chose Allocate Software for its ability to meet Eastern Health’s core requirements around cost effectiveness, flexibility, and ease of use.”

Allocate Software will implement its rostering and time and attendance solution across all 50 Eastern Health facilities, which will benefit more than 9,000 staff by providing four key benefits:

1.        Automated rostering that removes the administrative burden of manual processes.

2.        Fairer and more equitable access for employees to overtime or desirable shifts.

3.        Improved ability to match appropriately-skilled staff to patient needs and roster requirements.

4.        Reduced operational costs.

Allocate Software’s solution will deliver cost efficiencies, and improve effective use of staff through smart rostering and skills matching for clinical requirements.

Durston added, “Allocate Software is excited to work with Eastern Health to automate and optimise its workforce management. An automated rostering solution creates more time for staff to spend on patient care, offers more equitable access to overtime opportunities, and lowers operational costs.”

Eastern Health provides positive healthcare experiences for people and communities in Melbourne’s east. It delivers clinical services to more than 750,000 people through healthcare programs in more than 50 facilities.
