IQVIA: Visory Health a top player in prescription discounts

Transforming pharma for caregivers
IQVIA praises Visory Health for low cost prescription medications which aims to help women, caregivers & underserved communities access healthcare

Visory Health is dedicated to transforming the way everyone, especially women, caregivers and underserved communities, access medications with its patient-first platform, that offers lower priced prescriptions.

Visory Health has just announced that in its first year it has helped 3.25m customers access low-priced medication, saving them US$4bn, with its nationwide network of pharmacies, including Kroger, Walmart, Stop & Shop, Publix and Sam’s Club.

Healthcare analytics company IQVIA has praised Visory Health as ‘the fourth largest discount card demonstrating the void it is quickly filling in the prescription marketplace’.

Supporting caregivers with easy access to prescriptions

In the USA, there are 53m unpaid caregivers, supporting both adults and children, with the majority of carers being women. Many caregivers report feeling depressed, which can also contribute to chronic conditions. Caregivers spend their time and money on caring for loved ones, which impacts their other relationships as well as their career, with some moving from full-time to part-time work. Carers also spend money on transport, to get to and from the person they are caring for, as well as taking them to healthcare appointments.

Enter Visory Health - a women-owned and women-led company and a subsidiary of XIL Health, which ‘does healthcare differently’. Visory Health has developed proprietary technology, analytics and even consumer engagement platforms which lets healthcare consumers access lower cost prescription medicines with its app - which the company hopes will offer caregivers some respite.

Increasing equity for caregivers

Susan Lang is the Founder and CEO of Visory Health, and a former Senior VP at Express Scripts. She ensures that the company’s core values are upheld: empowerment, care without compromise, courage, compassion and respect.

“Visory Health's affordable prescriptions are a lifeline for underserved communities and a testament to our commitment to the well-being of every individual,” said Lang. “It has been our mission since day one to increase equity for caregivers who work tirelessly to keep communities healthy as well as women, who historically face challenges to access essential medications. We’re proud of the work we’ve done so far helping over 3.25m people and look forward to expanding our reach.”

"It’s clear people are looking for a better solution that makes it easy to find medications at a price they can afford,” agreed Debbie Sanders, Chief Operating Officer at Visory Health. “We're doing healthcare differently, so consumers can spend time on what matters most."

"Our top priority at Visory is and always will be enabling our customers to access high quality care at an affordable price,” said Dr. Cheryl Creamer, Chief Clinical Officer at Visory Health. “Far too many struggle to access life-saving medication due to cost barriers and we're changing that reality one prescription at a time."
