About the Strategy

Colgate-Palmolive’s 2030 Strategy is a five-year roadmap that aims to create long-term resilience and growth while supporting the communities in which it operates.

It builds on the progress achieved through its 2025 Sustainability & Social Impact Strategy.

Key achievements during this time include introducing the first-of-its-kind recyclable toothpaste tube in 2019.

Since then, Colgate-Palmolive has transitioned approximately 97% of its toothpaste SKUs in North America and 98% globally to the recyclable tube.

Across all of its packaging, approximately 96% is designed for recycling, with a target to reach 100% by 2030.

The company’s Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures programme achieved a significant milestone in 2025 by reaching approximately two billion children and their families in more than 100 countries since 1991 with oral health education and treatment referrals.

It has also made progress towards its Climate and Net Zero transition plan, with 83% of its electricity coming from renewable energy sources.

Building a healthier future

The 2030 Strategy covers three main areas: driving social impact, helping millions of homes and preserving the environment.

In its operations, Colgate-Palmolive aims to build a climate resilient value chain and protect forests and biodiversity.

Its ambition is to eliminate plastic waste from its product portfolio and deliver water security in communities.

Colgate-Palmolive also plans to advance its previous goals to promote lasting habits for hygiene and oral health, through initiatives and community programmes.

It also aims to create a healthier and happier future for pets and their owners through its range of pet care products.

Ann Tracy, Chief Sustainability Officer at Colgate-Palmolive, says: ā€œAt Colgate-Palmolive, we know the importance of value-creating sustainability.

ā€œOur 2030 Strategy targets the areas where we can make the greatest difference, fostering growth for our business and our communities.

ā€œThis work involves Colgate-Palmolive People around the world and supports our purpose to reimagine a healthier future for all.ā€

A focus on value creation

Colgate-Palmolive says that it is working to achieve measurable targets while continuing to take a science-based, pragmatic and value-driven approach to build resilience across its business.

Its 2030 Strategy builds upon its legacy by prioritising high-impact initiatives to give positive benefits for its consumers, its business and the planet.

This approach allows the company to prepare its operations for the future and meet the high quality standards expected by its stakeholders, including the families that use its products, its employees and its investors.

The strategy is integrated into Colgate-Palmolive’s broader 2030 strategic plan, with new 2030 targets to be announced later in 2026.

Ann said on LinkedIn: ā€œI continue to be inspired and optimistic about our future, especially as CP People around the world are committing to impact and innovating to support a healthier planet.

ā€œAs we look toward 2030, we will focus on how our actions drive value creation, fostering long-term growth and resilience for people, pets and the planet – we call this our win-win-win principle.

ā€œWe make more smiles when we create this positive fly-wheel.ā€
