Inside ASUSâs AI-Powered Healthcare Ecosystem

At Computex 2026 in Taipei, ASUS has revealed a pioneering healthcare ecosystem designed to transform how medical professionals use artificial intelligence.
Unveiled on 2 June, this innovative system aims to bridge the gap between gathering patient information and making instant clinical decisions.
Central to this comprehensive launch are two new pieces of medical hardware: the ASUS Handheld Ultrasound DuoScan and the ASUS VivoWatch 6 Plus.
These devices connect seamlessly through the newly established ASUS AI Agent healthcare platform and the computing infrastructure of the company to facilitate immediate action on the clinical frontline.
Establishing a real-world clinical foundation
According to a recent ASUS survey of frontline medical staff, more than 68% of respondents believe that AI agents will soon bring a measurable impact to their daily clinical workflows.
Capitalising on this strong industry momentum, the technology company has developed what it describes as a vertically integrated medical sandbox.
This unified framework is intended to shift the role of artificial intelligence in medicine from simply generating insights to delivering direct clinical impact.
The architecture operates as an intelligent closed-loop system comprising three distinct layers: sensing, platform and computing. The sensing layer involves the new DuoScan and VivoWatch devices, while the platform layer relies on exclusive No-Code AI technology from ASUS.
These software and hardware components are completely underpinned by the robust computing infrastructure of the brand. Working together within this environment, clinical data can be continuously captured, structured and integrated.
Consequently, AI agents are empowered to analyse the information, interpret the results and execute necessary actions in real time.
This seamless technological integration promises to replace previously fragmented processes with a highly cohesive system suitable for hospitals, remote care settings and emergency environments.
Versatile point-of-care diagnostics
A crucial component of this new sensing layer is the ASUS Handheld Ultrasound DuoScan. This completely wireless device provides a truly portable form factor without compromising on diagnostic clarity or performance.
It features advanced 192-element high-definition imaging to assist medical practitioners in making confident point-of-care decisions across various demanding locations.
To ensure maximum diagnostic flexibility, the DuoScan utilises a dual-probe design available in two distinct configurations.
The linear-plus-convex option is heavily optimised for examining the abdomen, musculoskeletal system, peripheral blood vessels and thyroid.
Alternatively, the linear-plus-phased array configuration is highly suitable for cardiac, abdominal, musculoskeletal and peripheral vascular imaging.
This ensures the hardware can be deployed across general practice, critical care and emergency settings.
Built specifically to withstand rigorous medical environments, the portable ultrasound tool is IP68-rated for complete dustproof and waterproof operation.
This makes it reliable for continuous use in intensive care units, emergency rooms and home care scenarios. The device provides up to three hours of continuous portable operation.
By entirely removing the heavy dependence on fixed hospital infrastructure, the DuoScan significantly extends the geographical reach of medical care.
Joe Hsieh, Chief Operating Officer and SVP at ASUS, says: âAs a medical solutions provider with deep technological expertise, ASUS remains dedicated to placing clinical needs at the core of our innovation.
âBy integrating AI algorithms, wireless communication technology, medical imaging and system integration capabilities, we are committed to developing real-time, high-quality and easy-to-deploy medical imaging tools that empower physicians and healthcare teams to enhance diagnostic efficiency and patient care quality.â
Continuous monitoring and personalised wellness
Complementing the portable ultrasound equipment is the newly announced ASUS VivoWatch 6 Plus.
This intelligent wearable device expands upon continuous health monitoring by introducing enhanced physical durability alongside advanced biometric tracking capabilities.
The smartwatch is carefully constructed with a titanium alloy case and a premium sapphire-crystal glass screen protecting a 1.43-inch AMOLED display.
This specific build results in a device that is lighter and stronger for the user while delivering a premium aesthetic.
Wearers can continue to rely on the established electrocardiogram and blood pressure monitoring capabilities of the previous VivoWatch models.
However, this latest iteration brings entirely new analytical metrics to the clinical forefront. These include detailed gait analysis and sleep breathing movement tracking, both of which deliver insights into long-term health trends and the potential risks associated with chronic diseases.
By successfully combining these advanced metrics with real-time health feedback, the VivoWatch 6 Plus actively functions as a personalised wellness coach. It supports users every day by translating continuous biometric data into actionable lifestyle guidance to promote better overall health.
