Claire's impact on sustainability

Throughout her tenure at GSK, Claire worked across the company's global operations, encompassing medicines, vaccines, R&D and supply chains.

Her focus centred on advancing both planetary and human health mitigation, whilst supporting the sector's adaptation to climate change and nature loss.

Under Claire's leadership, GSK secured A scores from CDP – the highest possible rating – in both Climate and Water categories.

She brings more than 25 years of experience in leading transformational strategic change programmes across energy, facilities, capital and renewables.

Before joining GSK, she worked in the UK Government, where she led Energy procurement programmes.

Claire held the VP Sustainability position at GSK for more than five years, having previously spent eight years as the company's Head of Global Sustainability.

During this time, GSK became the first pharmaceutical company to have nature targets validated by the Science Based Targets Network.

She also contributed to the company's progress in transitioning to low-carbon inhalers and embedding eco-design into all new products between 2019 and 2025.

Claire says on LinkedIn: "After an incredible chapter at GSK, I will soon be taking on a new challenge – more on that to come.

She subsequently moved into Innovation roles at the company, progressing to become Innovation Manager in 2017, where she negotiated deals to enhance product and digital health innovation.

Adele spent the following years working in strategy, marketing and operations, serving as the Sustainability Partnerships and Strategy Director between 2021 and 2025.
