'OCD chopping board' could make condition worse
A revolutionary chopping board which is on sale at Selfridges stores in the UK has received criticism from those suffering with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), reports The Independent.
The chopping board has been designed by US manufacturers Fred & Friends and is designed to resolve ‘sandwich problems’ for OCD sufferers.
For those who “want to cut their sandwich at a perfect 45 degree angle” or in a rigidly straight line, the board is covered with grid lines, scales and a protractor with marked angles.

However, a leading OCD charity in the UK says the product could worsen the disease.
Ashley Fulwood, the Chief Executive of OCD-UK, told the newspaper: “The chopping board is cashing in on the debilitating nature of OCD.”
“It probably wasn't intended to be offensive, but it's in bad taste to stock this item.
“If it had been an HIV chopping board or a cancer cutting board, there would be an outcry,” he added.
“As a therapy technique, its use would be counter-productive. The manufacturer doesn't realise the impact OCD can have; it can ruin people's lives, careers and families.”
