The California Institute for Nursing and Health Care (CINHC) board of directors has appointed Judith G. Berg  to the position of Executive Director of CINHC. Berg, an officer and founding board member of CINHC, has provided leadership on the number of initiatives of the non-profit companies since it was started in 2001.

Priscillia Gonzales-Levia, Chair of the Board of Directors said, “CINHC’s mission is to transform the capacity of nurses to meet the evolving needs of California residents and Judee Berg brings exceptional leadership, combined with a wealth of experience, to help us meet our mission.” Ms. Priscillia also said, “CINHC will be in excellent hands as I step down from the helm,” said, Deloras Jones, RN, MS.  Jones also said, “Judee’s involvement with CINHC since its inception will make this a seamless and successful transition.”

Judith G. Berg will succeed Jones in assuming the role of executive director on September 24.  CINHC was founded in 2002 and is a nonprofit company  that partners with California nursing leaders and healthcare companies to develop solutions in four areas.

The areas include creating a statewide master plan to assure an adequate nursing supply, expand educational capacity to educate nurses and train a diverse workforce, increase the workforce and diversify through recruitment and retention initiatives and develop nurse leaders capable of meeting challenges of a changing environment.
